Score 93/100 · Drink 2023-2040, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Mar 2023
The 2018 Pinot Noir Chapelle 1441 opens with a deep, intense and generous but elegant and stimulating flinty/reductive bouquet of ripe cherries, black and red berries as well as, after a while in the glass, venison. Elegant and refined on the palate, this is a full-bodied, generous and very elegant, persistently saline and finely tannic 2018 Pinot Noir with mouth-filling fruit and good tension. Excellent and with a complex and refreshing finish. 14% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in January 2023.
