Tenser on the nose than stereotypical Bâtard. Then great richness on the palate though all reined in. This would end up being about £300 a bottle but it's good wine! Great balance and not too fat… miraculously. (JR)

The 2020 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a crushed stone and green apple scented bouquet, one of the most stricter aromatics from Boillot with satisfying focus. The palate is very well balanced with fine acidity, taut and fresh with a touch of sour lemon towards the finish that lingers temptingly. Very fine.
