Tasting notes
Spicy wood with rich, fresh black cherries and blackberries. Nicely peppery, too. Well-structured on the palate, highlighted by fine-grain tannins. Long, tightly wound and packed. Drink from 2026 and then for six to seven years, if not more.

The 2021 Reserva 60 is a best-selection of family vineyards 60 years old and older, intended as a food-friendly wine in its youth, with refined tannins leading the way. Mineral and soil-driven aromas of stone, dust, and gravel coat a full-bodied palate of concentrated anise, tobacco, and dark cherry. Fermented and aged in French oak, it should hit is prime in about 15 years.
The 2021 Tempranillo Reserva 60 from Samaniego aged for 14 months in a mix of fine-grain barrels. Distinctive on the nose with chamomile, cassis, forest herbs and mature fruit, the oak is subtly integrated. Concentrated and long-lasting with structure but no heaviness, this highlights the finesse of old-vine Tempranillo in a classic but vibrant Rioja style.
