2019 Gratius Toscana

The 2019 Gratius is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 5% each Colorino and Canaiolo. Potent and driving in the glass, the 2019 is redolent of dark red fruit, spice, leather, licorice, tobacco and scorched earth. Here, too the style is quite heady and intense, but it works. The 2019 spent 18 months in French oak, mostly new.
