Tasting notes
The 2014 Riesling Séléctions de Grains Nobles R is a gorgeous evocation of candied wild thyme and hayflower syrup. Yarrow, chamomile and wild thyme combine to clear sinuses and align with honey and lemon. The palate is sweet but scalpel-like, sharp with acid that will cut through decades, cutting that concentrated sweetness here like a diamond. Hair-raising, this wine is the kind of stuff that might confer secret powers. The brightest, purest lemon blows your mind. This is for adults only. 122 g/L of sweetness stand against 9.7 g/L of acidity. (Sweet)

This is nowhere near as massive as most people imagine Alsace SGN dessert wine to be, but it has a profound depth of King Alphonso mango character. Concentrated and structured, but still lively with a cool side that gives it beautiful energy. Very long, pristine finish in spite of all the richness. Drink or hold.
