Tasting notes
Imagine a queen proceeding gracefully down the aisle to her throne and, without the slightest urgency, setting herself down upon it. Likewise, this is still rather closed, but with plentiful, subtle candied fruit and spicy nuances. The fruit is only slowly emerging, yet the finish is already super long. From biodynamically grown grapes with Biodyvin certification. Better from 2021. Limited production.

Bürklin's 2019 Kirchenstück G.C. is enormously deep, pure and fresh on the highly complex, flinty, remarkably refined and elegant nose that gives way to mirabelle aromas with a dash of lemon juice. Full-bodied, rich and powerful on the palate but also refined and fine, this is an enormously complex, tight and salty Kirchenstück with enormous length, power, salt and tension. Tasted as a sample in April 2020.
