Score 95/100 · Drink 2030-2065, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Feb 2015

Noble raisin and grapefruit aromas along with lime zest on the nose of the 2013 Bernkasteler Doctor Riesling Auslese indicate a white-fruit, precise and piquant sweet wine made from noble rotten berries from one of the Mosel's most spectacular vineyards. Provided with 136 grams per liter residual sugar and 10 grams per liter acidity, this is a terribly sweet, rich and concentrated Auslese on the palate. But it is also structured by an incisive, razor-sharp acidity and balanced by its extremely piquant and mineral background. It would be hedonistic suicide to drink this remarkably potent Auslese today or in the next 20 years. I would definitely recommend buying this wine for at least two generations.
