A cooler, low-yielding year, the 2019 Isolation Ridge Riesling is delicate and lacy, with an energy to the acid line that makes for an extra pleasurable drinking experience. It is concentrated and acute in its focus and laser-like in its intensity. There is lovely tension in this wine.

Slightly posher screwcap than on the regular Frankland Estate Riesling 2019. Certified organic. Selection of the best lots from this vineyard. 15% barrel fermented in large format oak, nine months on ferment lees. Lifted and elegant with presumably a longer life than the regular bottling. Really quite delicate. Closer to lemon than lime at the moment. Almost ethereal. Very marked acidity for now. And slightly chewy. (JR)
