Organic. Bottled end August 2019. Pale garnet. Sweet and perfumed and light but very friendly indeed. Well judged. A light powdery texture and masses of ripe fruit but not overripe. GV (JR)

The 2018 Côte de Nuits Village Clos du Chapeau has an open-knit, generous bouquet of red cherries and crushed strawberry fruit, hints of crushed rose petal emerging with time. The medium-bodied palate offers fine tannin. Taut and crisp with a vivacious, tart red cherry finish and a lightly spicy aftertaste. Delicious.

The 2018 Côte de Nuits-Villages Clos du Chapeau is very attractive, revealing aromas of red berries, cherries and rose petals that are framed by a deft touch of oak. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, velvety and charming, with supple tannins and an expressive core of fruit.
