Primarily Grenache (63%) with smaller portions of Cinsault, Syrah and Rolle, the 2019 Cotes de Provence Rose Clos Mireille is among the palest of pale rosés, barely blushing with a coppery hue. From a vineyard close to the Mediterranean, it features whiffs of sea breeze, hints of strawberries and citrus, plus a crushed-stone element. It's medium-bodied and concentrated, almost creamy on the mid-palate, but simultaneously crisp and focused, with a long, refreshing finish.

Coming from 124-acre vineyard along the Mediterranean, the 2019 Cotes De Provence Clos Mireille Rose (63% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 12% Syrah, and the rest Rolle) was fermented in stainless steel before aging on lees in larger oak foudre. This pale pink beauty offers a tight, backward style (which can be expected with lots of time on lees) in its tart strawberry and cherry fruits as well as salty minerality and white flower-like aromas and flavors. It's more expressive on the palate and is medium-bodied, has a rounded, expansive mid-palate, nicely integrated acidity, and a beautiful finish. This classy Côtes de Provence is going to be better with 4-5 months of bottle age and drink well over the following year.

Translucent orange-pink. Highly perfumed strawberry, nectarine, grapefruit zest and succulent floral qualities on the nose. Vibrant and precise on the palate, offering sappy citrus pith, red berry, pit fruit and honeysuckle flavors that pick up a mineral nuance with air. The floral and mineral notes repeat emphatically on a wonderfully persistent finish that shows fine definition and powerful, nervy cut.
