Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2022-2029, Neal Martin, Jan 2020

The 2018 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Champs Chevreys 1er Cru comes from the domaine’s 1.5 hectare monopole. It has a pretty, floral, violet-scented bouquet that is generous if not the most complex I have encountered in recent years. The palate is well balanced and a little deeper than the Les Lavières, with a simple, grainy-textured but pleasing finish.
