Tasting notes
Originating from vines planted in 2000, the 2020 Terroir Series Malbec Finca Ambrosía fermented in concrete and matured in 300- and 500-liter barrels and a portion of foudre. It leads with an expressive bouquet of red and black fruits, dried flowers and fresh herbs, followed by a concentrated yet buoyant, tensile palate. The finish beautifully balances inky, dense power with a focused, taut mineral core and fine-grained tannins. This is a well-crafted wine that balances the seductive style at Trapiche with vibrancy and nuance.

The 2020 Malbec Terroir Series Finca Ambrosía originates from Gualtallary in the Uco Valley and was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. A rich purple in the glass. The nose presents ripe plum, blackberry, orange peel and herb aromas. The wine is plush with clingy, fairly dry tannins that bring liqueur-like energy. Rich, dark fruit flavors linger at length.
