Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2024-2033, Neal Martin, Jan 2023

The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Clos Saint-Jean 1er Cru was showing a little more oak on the nose, though there is sufficient fruit to support it. The palate is well balanced with good substance, a little oaky at the moment so give this two to three years to assimilate. Maybe it doesn't quite possess the terroir expression of its peers?
