This lovely Chassagne-Montrachet has all the richness, structure and elegance that we expect from this appellation. Stacks of candied citrus peel plus notes of pear skin, fresh parsley and dill. Excellent integration of fruit and oak tannins on the full-bodied palate, then plenty of herbal freshness at the chalky finish. Drink or hold.

The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Vergers 1er Cru has a touch more terroir-expression and mineralité on the nose compared to the Les Chenevottes. The palate is taut and fresh with kernels of orange rind and sour lemon. Fine energy and good concentration on the finish, this is an excellent Chassagne that should age well in the cellar.
