Tasting notes
The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Jeunes Rois is one of the stars of Duroché's range of Gevrey lieux-dits, wafting from the glass with beautiful aromas of cassis, wild berries, coniferous forest floor and sweet soil. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with a deep core of succulent fruit, fine tannins, and a sapid, pure finish.

Quite rich and solid with a nice polish and some slight bitterness on the end. Something root vegetable about these flavours. Sudden end. (JR)
Good dark red. Black cherry, licorice, mint, smoked meat and leather on the nose, plus a faint resiny character. At once more intense and more fruity than the Champ, showing good saline minerality to the blackberry and boysenberry flavors. Finishes with suppler tannins and more concentration and length. Made from one millerandé parcel planted in 1952.
About the producer

Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
