Score 93/100 · Drink 1992-2002, Robert Parker, Apr 1992

Last Tasted 3/92 Dark garnet in color, with some amber at the edge, this wine displays a sensationally fragrant nose of mint, Oreo cookies, cedar, and sweet, jammy fruit. In the mouth, the wine reveals an earthy, full-bodied richness, a gorgeous, chewy, succulent texture, and a sweet, full-bodied, heady finish. The 1958 is a spectacular example of the Beaulieu Private Reserve Cabernet. Nearly 34 years old, it is still a formidable bottle of wine that could easily last for another decade.
