Tasting notes
Ripe apple, white peach and Persian melon allied with lime and grapefruit present a luscious, colorful performance that contrasts vividly with the austerity and brashly lemony citricity of the corresponding Grosses Gewächs. Here too, though, the mouth feel is firm, the finish vibrant, gripping and underlain with set stone. Tongue and cheeks are left tingling and the palate energized as well as refreshed, but also rewarded by the abundance of fruit flavors reinforced by sweetness.

The 2015 Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett displays a clear and flinty bouquet of ripe fruits and crushed slate plates. Silky, vital and light, with a lingering salinity and a lush, mouth-watering fruit, this is a very pleasant Kabinett. It is nicely balanced and ready to be drunk over a period of 15-20 years.
Intensely pungent and green apples. Lots to chew on – one of the most youthful wines I have tried here! (JR)
