Tasting notes
Made from up to 80-year-old Marsanne vines, the 2021 Saint-Péray Fleur de Crussol escaped the severe frosts due its higher vineyard elevation. Struck match aromas pair with lemon flesh, white peach, ripe pear and spring blossom. Concentrated and balanced, the 2021 concludes with a deliciously saline aftertaste on the bright finale.

Not yet bottled and the flagship from Voge, the 100% Marsanne 2021 Saint-Péray Fleur De Crussol offers impressive depth and richness, as well as complexity, in its stone fruits, marmalade, and spicy aromas and flavors. It's balanced, it has plenty of mid-palate depth, and I love its overall purity and precision. It's certainly up there with the top wines in the vintage, but this cuvée always demands a few years of bottle age to show its full potential.
Certified organic by AB France. 100% Marsanne. Fermented in 400-litre and 228-litre oak barrels (30% new). Matured on the lees for 16 months. Cask sample. Tasted blind. A creamy, buttery nose. The palate is rich and weighty with stone fruit. Lacks a little freshness and direction. (AC)
