Score 91/100 · Jay S Miller, Wine Advocate, Feb 2008

The 2005 Cabrida is 100% old-vine Garnacha sourced from vines ranging in age from 70-105 years with tiny yields. The wine was aged for 12 months in new French oak. Dark ruby/purple in color, it is slightly muted aromatically although notes of mineral and black cherry can be discerned. On the palate the wine is supple and layered with cherry and mocha notes emerging. The finish is long and fruit-filled. Several years in the bottle may bring greater resolution to this wine.
