Tasting notes
Very pale ruby. A little vegy nose with lots of sweetness on the start. You can see a bit of Dujac influence here! Not a totally silly price. Proper wine: very light touch with masses of pleasure and a bit of precision. Not a hint of green. (JR)

Barbecue smoke on the nose, with soft, cooked red cherries on the palate. Finishes with a very slight menthol touch. Quite big in profile, in an honest Californian way. (RH)
A bold, racy wine, the 2015 Pinot Noir Bien Nacido Vineyard expresses all of the radiance of the year. There is not a lot of subtlety here. Instead, the 2015 makes a strong opening statement with its bold, almost flamboyant fruit. Even with all of its obvious intensity, the 2015 shows Gavin Chanin's restrained hand, which tempers some of the natural richness that is present in this fruit.
Pale ruby-purple in color, the 2015 Pinot Noir Bien Nacido Vineyard gives notes of pomegranate and Bing cherries with forest floor, mossy bark and fungi nuances. The palate is oh-so-light, fresh and delicate, offering up a fragrant perfume and very soft tannins, finishing with beautiful poise.
