Score 89-91/100 · William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2022
The 2020 Volnay Village wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries, dark berries, sweet spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and succulent, with melting tannins and a saline finish, it includes roughly one-third premier cru fruit.

The 2020 Volnay Village has a well-defined bouquet, blackberry and briary tinged with light tobacco scents. The palate is medium-bodied with good grip on the entry. I find this quite Pommard-like in terms of structure, a little drier than its peers, yet fresh with impressive backbone on the finish. Therefore, give this a couple of years in bottle.
