Score 93/100 · Drink 2016-2030, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Apr 2016
The 2003 Chambertin Grand Cru from Louis Remy is one of the finest red wines from this vintage that I have encountered in a long time. There is a sense of uncommon brightness and vivacity on the nose that disguises the vintage, macerated small red cherries, marmalade and strawberry preserve, youthful and well defined. The palate is fresh from the very start, extremely well balanced with fine tannin, gently building in the mouth towards a surprisingly crisp, elegant finish. This Chambertin demonstrates that only a fool completely writes off a vintage and it comes highly recommended. Tasted March 2016.
