Tasting notes
A firmly structured wine for this appellation, with the energy and freshness we expect from Savigny-Les-Beaune, Delicate citrus aromas and positive spice. Crisp minerality and acidity driving the long, precise finish. From a south-facing vineyard, but at high altitude. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Guettes Blanc (Domaine Gagey) reveals aromas of waxy lemon, pear and vanilla pod, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny palate that's bright and seamless. This is promising.
The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Clos des Guettes Blanc 1er Cru has a bit more reduction than the Haut Jarrons, yet I also discern a little more delineation and mineralité by comparison. The palate is well balaned with a fine bead of acidity, not complex yet harmonious with a lovely long peachy finish. This has potential. Closure: Diam
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
