Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2023-2035, Neal Martin, Dec 2020
The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from Les Longuettes and underwent long fermentation. Orange cordial and touches of mango feature on a nose that opens nicely with aeration. The palate is honeyed in texture with well-integrated oak, quite vanilla-y at the moment. Flecks of white chocolate and almond emerge toward the plush finish. Very generous in style, though maybe not the most intellectual in its class.
