Tasting notes
(from Girardin's original source of Batard-Montrachet, a mix of younger and older vines): Bright, light yellow. Ripe peach, nectarine and sexy oak spices on the nose. Rich, ripe and full but without quite the class or complexity of the young 2013 version. Rounder than the younger wine but with less linearity and thrust. But this wine's sweet peach and floral flavors show impressive palate presence.

Bright yellow. Musky white flowers and minerals lifted by white pepper on the nose. Suave, fine-grained and light on its feet for a Batard, with citrus, pepper and spice flavors nicely lifted by strong acidity. Finishes with dusty spices and lovely verve, with the almost aggressive acidity in need of time to meld with the wine's fruit.
