Score 85/100 · Robert Parker, Jan 1997
The 1989 Cote Rotie is no great wine. Soft and lacking the concentration of Jaboulet's other 1989s, it exhibits an intense, herbaceous character in the nose that I do not find to my liking. Nevertheless, it is a round, decently made wine. Mature now. Last tasted 4/94.
