Tasting notes
The 2021 Thieuley has a lifted black currant and cassis-tinged bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with an oaky entry, and the wood rather obscures the fruit. I would drink this in the first couple of years after bottling.

The 2021 Thieuley is a bold, intensely savory Côtes de Bordeaux. Grilled herbs, lavender, mocha and sage give the 2021 its strong, pungent personality. There's good depth, and plenty of personality, but also some elements of rusticity.
Notes of rich berries and spices introduce the 2021 Thieuley, a medium-bodied, fruity and fleshy wine that punches above its weight.
This is smoky, carefully extracted and controlled. A hit of sweet raspberry puree up front, and things soften through the finish, but this has firm but fine tannins, and skiful winemaking. Small yields after being impacted by frost, and no Réserve Francis Courselle made this year.
