Tasting notes
Notes of pear, white flowers, wheat toast and smoke introduce the 2019 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Champlots, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive wine that's concentrated, mineral and precise. Saline and penetrating, it should enjoy a bright future.

Sometimes called En Montceau, eg by his brothers at Marc Colin. Windy site. Just above Chatenières and very limestone. Two out of his six 350-litre barrels had malo blocked. Tank sample. Satisfying and savoury on the nose with real grip. Real freshness as well as fruit and lots of energy. Silky and drier than some. Very neat and long. (JR)
