Score 93/100 · Drink 2020-2035, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, May 2020

Sebastian Fürst's 2017 Spätburgunder Schlossberg GG from Klingenberg displays a purity and elegance of perfectly ripe fruit aromas intertwined with the red sandstone notes of the beautiful Schlossberg terroir. On the palate, you get the concentration, purity and freshness you can expect from Fürst. This is not at all about charm but about drinkability, energy, purity and vitality. This wine develops enormous length and has a tight mineral structure, whereas the texture is transparent and silky. This is an impressive, bone-dry and ascetic Pinot Noir with lots of tension and concentration. Adorable. Tasted in Wiesbaden in August 2019.
