Tasting notes
Ripe aromas of peach and hazelnut, with hints of nut oil and candied stone fruits. Fat, sweet, velvety and very rich but with ripe acids and late-arriving minerality giving shape and grip to the wine's very broad flavors. This really saturates the palate on the back end, which is classically dry.

Tight, fine, very refined. Finely etched. This one takes no prisoners. Great texture. Very, very sleek and polished like a jewel. Powerful. (JR)
(harvested on October 1) Pale yellow. Ripe peach and nectarine aromas complemented by vanillin oak. Fat, sweet and very ripe; conveys an impression of lower acidity than the Chevaliers yet this comes across as distinctly unevolved. A second sample from a Seguin-Moreau barrel (the first was from Damy) showed more precision and detail, and a stronger impression of backbone, not to mention greater length.
