Score 95/100 · Drink 2035-2070, Neal Martin, Jan 2023

The 2020 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru is all finesse. Sweet floral and savory notes immediately signal the freshness of Latricières. Red fruit, sage, mint and blood orange are some of the notes that open with a bit of time in the glass. The Latricières is quite reticent in this tasting, but I see that as a positive given that wines at this level should not offer everything at the outset. Aromatic and wonderfully vibrant, the 2020 will need a decade-plus to start drinking well, even if it is hugely impressive in the early going. - Antonio Galloni
