Score 93/100 · Drink 2023-2039, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2022

The 2019 Lions de Suduiraut is a fabulous second wine. Passion fruit, white flowers, ginger, spice and apricot are all beautifully lifted. An emphasis on freshness and mid-weight intensity works so well here. The Lions can be enjoyed now or cellared. It's absolutely delicious today. The 120-130 grams of residual sugar are not at all evident.

The 2019 Lions de Suduiraut has a tightly wound nose that unfurls to offer dried honey and light beeswax aromas. The palate is viscous on the entry with orange rind and honeyed notes, lightly spiced towards the finish that just needs a little more tension. Fine.
