Tasting notes
Full medium red, Knockout nose combines wild red berries, musky minerality, licorice, spices and smoked meat. Sappy, dense and compellingly sweet, but with firm minerality giving an almost magical light touch to the middle palate and partly hiding the wine's fot today. The explosively long finish coats the palate with complex soil sensations. This baby may not approach its peak until 2025 or so.

A gorgeously spicy and kaleidoscopically complex nose features a huge breadth of aromas of very ripe and largely black fruits. The focused and tautly muscular flavors possess a mouth feel of lace and silk, all wrapped in a firmer than usual finish that is harmonious to the point of being quite Zen-like. In sum, this is a spectacular effort that will easily live for 50 years if desired under quality cellar conditions. Drink 2030+
