Top Value - Cool, elegant and wonderfully pure aromas include those of the essence of acacia and gardenia, spice and a whiff of white peach that are trimmed in almost imperceptible wood. The succulent yet powerful medium-bodied flavors are not especially dense but they do possess an absolutely gorgeous mouthfeel while retaining impeccable balance on the massively persistent finish. While certainly an imposing wine, this is what I would describe as a Montrachet of finesse but one that should have no trouble rewarding extended keeping. Drink 2035+

Mid lemon colour. Discreet but majestic nose. No problem with at all. So many threads on the palate, one greener which lifts it, but the individual fruits should not be singled out – nectarine, passion fruit without excess, a broad base of your favourite apple, lean and sinewy but entirely compelling.
The 2023 Montrachet Grand Cru is elegance personified. Supple and aromatic, with gorgeous finesse, the 2023 caresses the palate like silk. Crushed flowers, chamomile, spice, mint, tropical fruit unfurl in the glass. Boillot’s Montrachet is on the understated side, with all the elements in the right place.
About the producer
Based in Meursault and farming some of the finest vineyards in the Côte de Beaune, Henri Boillot is a leading address in Burgundy. He crafts fine Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but the estate is best known for its flagship monopole vineyard, Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos de la Mouchère.
