Tasting notes
Sweet Spot Outstanding - Aromas of exotic tea, tangerine peel, Granny Smith apple, anise and a plethora of floral wisps lead to super-sleek, intense and overtly mineral-driven flavors that terminate in a balanced, youthfully austere and strikingly long finale. This beautiful effort is pretty much textbook Genevrières and warmly recommended. Drink 2033+

A fuller yellow, yet with a mite of reduction. Discreetly nuanced nose behind the reduction, with a measured tread to the fruit on the nose, some oak at the finish, properly persistent once again. As the oak subsides the fruit arrives. This needs time for its discreet qualities to emerge from behind the barrel.
The 2023 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru is exotic and dynamic in the glass. Orange peel, spice, butter, pastry and sweet oak give the 2023 a distinctly overt quality, and yet the insistent minerality of Genevrières is never too far off. Soft, racy contours wrap it all together in style.
About the producer

Based in Meursault and farming some of the finest vineyards in the Côte de Beaune, Henri Boillot is a leading address in Burgundy. He crafts fine Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but the estate is best known for its flagship monopole vineyard, Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos de la Mouchère.
