Tasting Notes
The 2023 Bonnes Mares Grand Cru is a gorgeous, finessed wine from this site. Blue/purplish fruit, lavender, sweet spice and licorice all grace the palate. The 2023 exudes striking inner perfume. There’s a ton of elegance here, I would like to see more depth and structure in Bonnes Mares.

A crimson ruby. A little wilder than the Chambertin duo, a little plummier, softly ripe raspberries, a range of interesting complex aromatics. Builds fascinatingly on the palate, possibly a higher pH but thoroughly rewarding, with a complex texture as well, multi-layered, and very long.
About the producer

Based in Meursault and farming some of the finest vineyards in the Côte de Beaune, Henri Boillot is a leading address in Burgundy. He crafts fine Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but the estate is best known for its flagship monopole vineyard, Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos de la Mouchère.
