Tasting notes
The 2018 La Tour Carnet Blanc was picked September 10-18 and bottled in April 2019. Perhaps it is just missing the personality of the 2017 on the nose, though it opens nicely with aeration to reveal yellow fruit and granite aromas. The palate is actually better than the nose, featuring crisp acidity, yellow fruit, plum and a touch of orange peel, with fine delineation toward the finish. Drink over the next three to six years.

The 2018 La Tour Carnet Blanc is a very pretty Sémillon/Sauvignon Blanc blend from Bernard Magrez. Rich and creamy, with lovely textural resonance, the Blanc captures all of the natural radiance of the year. Lemon confit, white flowers, mint and light tropical notes all grace this generous, inviting white. The blend is 60% Sémillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc vinified and aged in barrel.
The la Tour Carnet 2018 Blanc leaps from the glass with bold lime cordial, lemongrass and green guava notes plus hints of honeysuckle and lanolin. Medium-bodied, the palate has lovely freshness and a satiny texture, finishing spicy.
