Tasting notes
FINE+RARE, Oct 2024

Combining a parcel next to Bienvenues-Bâtard and one below Caillerets, this was a standout of our 2023 tasting at Paul Pernot. The nose is restrained but there’s real intensity to the palate – the wine tight, bristling with energy and freshness. Notes of honey, chamomile and peach skin mingle with a pure, pithy note and chalky line. Balanced and pure, this is a lovely wine in 2023.

Sweet spot Outstanding - Ripe, fresh and elegant aromas of honeysuckle, acacia, anise, citrus confit and a suggestion of exotic tea give way to even more refined, though not quite as concentrated, flavors that culminate in a delicious, long and balanced finale that is just a bit more compact. This lovely effort is both stylish and really quite classy. Drink 2030+
