Very generous wood all but overshadows the liqueur-like aromas of black cherries and warm earth. The lavishly rich flavors also possess a beguiling texture thanks to the abundant dry extract that serves to buffer the balanced and lingering finale. This also appears to have the necessary stuffing to integrate the oak treatment in time but be aware that if you're inclined to drink your wines young, the wood isn't subtle.
