Score 88/100 · Drink 2022-2029, Neal Martin, Aug 2021

The 2020 Côte de Brouilly Clos Bertrand comes from the bottom of the hill where the soil is deeper and more clayey, over pink granite. This is introspective on the nose, offering darker berry fruit than the "Les Sept Vignes,” with touches of inkwell coming through with time. The medium-bodied palate is fresh and vibrant with supple tannins. A very light greenness imparts a slight bitterness on the finish. Fine.
