The 2021 Côte de Brouilly La Chapelle comes from 60-70 year old vines on steep limestone soils at the top of the incline. It undergoes a slightly longer cuvaison and is matured in foudres . A mixture of red and black fruit, briary, bay leaf and sage. The palate is well-balanced with gentle grip. It is fresh and focused, quite edgy with wonderful salinity and more pepperiness on the finish compared to the Le Clos. Excellent.
