The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières En la Richarde shows its élevage more than the Perrières, exhibiting aromas of pear and peach mingled with nutmeg, vanilla pod and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with a fleshy core of fruit, lively acids and chalky structure, it's a success, but it will need a few years to integrate.

The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet les Folatières En la Richards 1er Cru has a fresh nose with blackcurrant leaf, a hint of marmalade and Clementine. This is one of the more outgoing aromatics within Sauzet’s range. The palate is well balanced with a smooth entry, touches of wild peach and orange pith, a little phenolic towards the finish that exhibits excellent weight and persistence. Very impressive.
