Tasting notes
Score 84/100 · Drink 1984, Robert Parker, Jan 1998

Not quite up to the quality of the 1982 and 1983, but still attractive, fruity, and delicious, the 1981 Certan-Giraud is forward and ready to drink. Dark ruby, with a moderately intense, plummy bouquet, this medium- to full-bodied wine has very light tannins, and a round, lush finish. Anticipated maturity: Now-may be in decline. Last tasted, 6/84.
