Cask sample. Very dense. Luxurious wine with plush, sweet, ripe fruit. Loads of density and concentration. Fresh with cleansing acidity, no harsh edges here. Impressive Clos de la Roche but surprisingly easy at this early stage. Very long future ahead. (AWH)

The 2020 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru shows more composure and freshness compared to the Charmes-Chambertin with redcurrant, raspberry and blood orange scents. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly dry tannins on the entry, fine acidity yet it feels muscular and lacks finesse on the finish.
