(40% vendange entier ; aged in 80% new oak; Forey poured this last among his 2013s): A touch of sulfury reduction blew off to reveal a captivating perfume of redcurrant, iron and minerals lifted by dried rose petal. At once silky and intense, conveying terrific energy and lift to its red fruit, mineral and spice flavors. Boasts the inner-mouth perfume and wonderfully refined tannins of the best examples of this vintage.

Bright, medium red. Inviting sweet perfume of red cherry, clove and iron. Voluptuous and seamless on the palate, with soil-driven flavors of red fruits, smoke, brown spices and underbrush. More feminine than the two premier crus from Vosne-Romanée but also hints at a late-picked character. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins.
