Tasting notes
Blend of Les Mitans and Pitures. Not bottled yet for logistical reasons. Tank sample. Glowing ruby/crimson. Nose a little more reticent than the village Volnay at present. Sweet, jewelly start and then some still-not-integrated acidity which will surely fall into line eventually. Youthful! A somehow ‘sculpted’ wine with real lift and no obvious sweetness. Fresh, healthy, very long finish. (JR)

Aromas of sweet cherries, rose petals, orange zest, raw cocoa and spices introduce the 2022 Volnay 1er Cru, a medium to full-bodied, velvety and charming wine that's suave and perfumed. It's a blend of Pitures and Mitans.
