A Bordeaux blend of predominately Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2004 Larose casts a deep garnet color and gives a hint of bandaid on the nose with good, pure underlying black currant cordial and dried plum notes complimented by hints of bay leaf, cedar and unsmoked cigars. Medium to full-bodied, rich and concentrated in the mouth with tons of flavour and fine grained tannins, there is just a bit of rusticity to the long, otherwise satisfying finish.
