Tasting notes

This is really succulent and beautiful with layers of ripe plums and hints of chocolate on the palate. Full body, round and velvety tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Luxurious merlot. Try after 2022.

Cut from the same cloth quality-wise, the 2016 La Fleur Morange Mathilde (100% Merlot) has subtle oak influences as well as rocking notes of cassis, black cherries, raspberries, and flowery incense. Made in a rounded, supple, forward style, yet with considerable elegance, it too is another high-quality wine worth seeking out.
Dark crimson. Very voluptuous on the nose. Round and sweet. On the verge of over the top in terms of sweetness, but amazing concentration for a second wine. Hugely ambitious. Lightly tarry end. (JR)
Fleshy, ripe, forward and showing loads of fresh spicy berries, earth and licorice, this is good to go on release.
