Score 89/100 · Drink 2018-2033, Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2017
The second wine of La Gaffelière is the 2015 Clos La Gaffelière and this cuvee is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. This medium-bodied, elegant Saint-Emilion offers perfumed notes of black raspberries, currants, spice cake and lots of sandy/loamy soil-like nuances. Like all the wines here, the winemaking is impeccable and it’s balanced, pure and fresh. Drink it over the coming 10-15 years.
