Cask sample. Lovely Vieilles Vignes Chambolle with much to enjoy. Weighty, density of sweet red/black fruit. Very fine tannins, fresh and lively on the palate. A wine which will drink well young, but has the stuffing for further ageing. GV , judging by the trade price.

The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes unwinds in the glass with aromas of plums, cassis and spices, rendered reticent by a touch of youthful reduction. Medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, it's one of the more reserved wines in the cellar today, but the underlying materials show plenty of promise.
